I wanted something that looked a bit traditional, and (after asking everyone I knew and possibly every garage sale I could discover) I got the 1987 General Electric version from someone on Facebook. It was ideal as well as giving me the custom look I was waiting for!

My camcorder was mounted on a tripod and I was able to wirelessly activate the shutter from my iPad with Tether Tools’ Case Air system. In this method, I can be in front of my computer system, see, speak and direct my subjects myself.
From there I just had to wait for mine based on a rental! I had actually briefed them on exactly how to explore the big light before shooting, so there was very little guidance light. All I had to do was position them a little bit, that’s all! Each session was only a few minutes long and everyone was very happy to be a part of it.
Besides modifying, I’ve made some standard tonal changes to get the best look. Likewise, I handwrote some overlays that I added to some images in Photoshop. Once completed, everyone had photos they could use to encourage their fans to choose.
